When will the Spanish version of World of Warcraft be released?
We’re working towards releasing the Spanish version by the end of this year. However, there are many variables involved that could impact the completion date. Our main priority is to make sure all the necessary steps are taken so that the Spanish version meets our own expectations and those of the players.

Will there be a beta test?
We anticipate offering public test realms to allow players to test the game.

I’m currently playing another E.U. language version of World of Warcraft. Will I be able to convert to the Spanish version? Will I have to pay anything additional?
Existing Spanish-speaking players who wish to convert from another EU language version to the Spanish version of World of Warcraft will be able to do so without incurring any additional costs. As is currently the case, existing players will be able to convert to another language via download through the account management page.

I’m a Spanish-speaking player but I wish to continue playing my current language version of World of Warcraft. Will that be possible?
There will be no obligation for Spanish-speaking players to switch to the Spanish version once it is available.

Will players outside of Spain be able to play the Spanish version?
Existing European players will be able to convert to the Spanish version regardless of which European country they reside in. As with all localized European language versions, existing players can download another language version through the account management pages.

New players will be able to buy the game in their European country of residence and then convert to the Spanish version through the account management pages.

When World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade is released, will the English version be available in Spain?
Only the Spanish version will be available through retail outlets in Spain. However, if you are an existing player who wishes to continue playing in English after the release of the expansion, then you will be able to do so by downloading the English version via the account management pages.

Will World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade launch in Spanish at the same time as the English, French & German versions?
While that’s our goal, it will ultimately depend on whether we’re able to complete the Spanish version of World of Warcraft before the launch of The Burning Crusade.

I’m currently playing on an English Realm. If I change to the Spanish version what happens to my character(s)?
If you convert to the Spanish version of World of Warcraft you will still get to keep your existing characters.

If you wish, you can change to the Spanish version and remain playing on the same English Realm but with a Spanish interface. However, in this event, the language of the Realm and the support provided will remain in English.

If you wish to transfer your existing character(s) to a Spanish Realm then you will be able to do so via the character transfer program. Further details regarding the character transfer program will be revealed in the months ahead.

This information is also relevant to existing players on a French or German Realm.

Will there be a Spanish support team, Spanish forums and an official web-site in Spanish?
Yes, the Spanish version of World of Warcraft will be supported exactly as the English, French and German versions. The Blizzard Europe team will support players in Europe with a dedicated Spanish team based at the Blizzard Europe offices. This will include 24/7 in-game support; offline customer support; a dedicated community team and an official World of Warcraft web-site in Spanish.

Will there be Spanish Realms of all 4 types (Normal, PvP, RP and RP PvP) available from the start?
Yes, realms supporting all types of game play will be opened as soon as the Spanish version is available.
