UO dupe bug fixed |

From UO.com: "During last night’s maintenance cycle, we fixed an exploit that allowed players to dupe certain items. The duped items are still in the game, but we will be addressing them in an upcoming publish.
Currently, we do not plan to delete these items; rather they will be altered in various ways so they become common items that are obtainable by all players."

UO: Housing Grace Period Change |

From the UO Website: "Beginning on August 1st, 2006, the grace period for houses on inactive accounts will be changed from 90 days to 30 days. If your account remains inactive for more than 30 days, your house will begin a decay period of about 5 days. If you reactivate your account within the initial 30-day grace period or before your house finishes its 5-day decay period, then it will return to its original status."
No real problem for me, my 18X18 is gone long time ago. *sighs*

Publish 40 will introduce a new quest for players. It can be also tested on TC2 speaking with Gareth in the Parliment building of Magincia. Wednesday the clients were also patchd to version 5.0.2.

What the heck is a shard, anyway? |

This is just one of the question answered in the new New Players Guide now available on UO.com since yesterday. In the third page, with the other suggestions, there is the famous: "Don't carry what you can't afford to lose" coming this time from Ru'ura'pente, a Siege Perilous player.
It should also be explained that sadly, at the current state of the game, this advice only makes sense on Siege and Mugen, the two Hardcore servers.
