EQ Population Stats
Friday, 21 April 2006

We published some time ago some interesting Everquest population stats . I have to say that they looked very nice, but since they were showing that just 11% of the characters are in the 50-70 level range, it was obvious to me taht it was taking into consideration also the lowest levels never played alts.

What the heck is a shard, anyway?
Friday, 21 April 2006

This is just one of the question answered in the new New Players Guide now available on UO.com since yesterday.

In the third page, with the other suggestions, there is the famous: "Don't carry what you can't afford to lose" coming this time from Ru'ura'pente, a Siege Perilous player.
It should also be explained that sadly, at the current state of the game, this advice only makes sense on Siege and Mugen, the two Hardcore servers.

City of Fixes
Friday, 21 April 2006

A small patch was released yesterday with a few fixes.

For both COH and COV: "Missions with high notoriety were improperly rewarding the owner too much experience. The experience given to the owner has now been reduced back to normal."

Only for COH: "Damage portion of Tanker primary attacks should now hit object-style critters like barrels and suitcases" and "Mesmerize for controllers now does the proper amount of damage with containment."
