The Disney MMORPG ToonTown has received during the last week a good number of updates split in different patches. These updates for the moment have interested only the test server, but they should hit the normal gaming server soon.

In the meantime ToonTown is getting ready to celebrate Halloween. New Halloween themed items will be available in the clattlelog, players will be able just on the night of 31 october to create black cat toons, Trick-or-Treating everywere and a Bloodsucker Invasion hitting the streets.

Due to technical reasons the Cathedral of Pain has been brought offline but hopefully it will be back soon. Earned Items of Powers will stay in place.

The following is an official announcement taken from the official World of Warcraft European website: "In our continued efforts to combat cheating in World of Warcraft, more than 76,000 accounts were closed and 11 million gold was removed from the game economies in Europe, Korea, and the US in the month of September. The closed accounts were associated with activities that violate World of Warcraft's Terms of Use, such as using third-party programs that allow cheating, and farming gold and items. These types of activities can severely impact the economy of a realm and the overall game enjoyment for all players."

Oveur let the world know with his latest Dev Blog entry that the Tranquillity cluster is going to receive a new hardware upgrade. This upgrade will be accompanied by a number of software hotfixes that are very often transparently introduced in the EVE Online server side software.

World War II Online, also now known as Battleground Europe, announced the changes that the next patch 1.25 will introduce. The bigger new featured planned is Tables of Equipment, a system that will replace the global supply system with brigade owned resources.

The AO team is currently testing a character transfer service. Players are for the moment only allowed to execute a character copy on the test server.
By doing so and then playing a bit on the test server, you will help the testing process of the 16.4 patch.

Like in any other Tuesday and Thursday also this week there are two events scheduled. There is an Home Defense Event the 17th and the Monolith Event the 18th of October.

The World of Warcraft page listing the new spells and talent trees coming with The Burning Crusade has been updated to include also the Hunter powers. The list is now complete, but Blizzard clearly stated that those data are still work in progress and significant changes could happen before The Burning Crusade release.

Gamedaily has an interesting preview of Nightfall , the upcoming expansion for Guild Wars.
"The gameplay features which make Nightfall unique include a hero system, where the player can choose to play alongside a custom hero. The player will be responsible for helping that hero gain levels along with providing it with armor and weapons. Best of all, controls are being added to the game so that you can direct your NPC henchmen and heroes to specific areas and set the behavior patterns for your heroes. Players will have the opportunity to have up to three heroes on their team, and will even be able to bring them in customized PvP matches. Additionally, interface improvements will be made, combining the skills and attributes window into one, which will allow players to customize their characters in one place."

Starting from the 18th of October heroes and villains of paragon are encouraged to participate at a special Halloween themed event . "However, a dark shadow has fallen over this year's festivities. Word has spread from the shadowed town of Croatoa that strange things are headed south to spoil the holiday with their own evil celebrations. With the location of the Malleus Mundi still a mystery following it's disappearance last year, it's feared that new creatures might appear on the city streets. There have already been rumors that the Unseelie court may be sending fiends to paragon City to join the Vampires and werewolves that stalk the night on All Hallows Eve."
