After seven weeks without any patch, the Planetside servers received a short update on the 27th of October introducing some tricks and treats. In addition a possible fix to a CUD issue on Werner has been deployed.

At the end of the last week the Ultima Online Client has been updated first to version 5.0.5c and then to version 5.0.6a. The reason for this second patch has not been explained. Patch 5.0.5c introduced the following changes.

We finally have an official announcement of an expected release time for the World of Warcraft expansion The Burning Crusade. The European website says that "To allow more time for closed beta testers to provide us with valuable feedback, we will be moving the target launch date of World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade by a few weeks. This will enable us to take a little extra time to polish the content and ensure that the expansion meets our expectations and those of our players. For more information, click here ."

 

So the expansion should be released for both European and US customers in January 2007.

The World of Warcraft beta forums have been finally opened for public viewing. It is now possible to read the experience of new Draenei and Blood Elves characters, but also tales from high level chars. Remember that the non-disclosure agreement has been lifted so every information about the beta can be shared now.

The Ashen Empire (MMORPG once known with the name of Dransik) Dev team announced yesterday that with the upcoming game expansion Sands of Creation the level cap for playing characters will be raised from 105 to 110.

On his newest Dev Blog, Mephysto explains that the free content expansion named Kali is now finally feature complete and in the Quality Assurance Team hands. Kali is expected to be released by the end of this year.

The french MMORPG Dofus has received yesterday a server side only patch improving the mounts introduced with The Riders of the Dragoturkey update and many other things.

Runescape players with at least a Construction skill of level 42 will now be able to add a costume room  to player houses. Chests, wardrobes and cape racks in this room can be used to store dresses and armors, including the newest Capes of Achievement.
